OK Guys- How to Handle the Curve Ball!

Yes, let’s talk baseball!

In baseball, when a batter gets up to the plate to take a swing to get a hit, he must face the pitcher. Now, the batter doesn’t know what pitch the pitcher is going to throw, but he has to anticipate what pitch is coming. It may be a fastball straight down the middle. When the batter sees the ball coming his way, he has to get ready to take a swing. As the ball comes closer to the batter and he sees the pitch, he sees that the ball is not looking the same as the pitch before.

In fact, the ball is tailoring away for the batter. What must the batter do? Wow! it’s a curveball! Oh my goodness! What do you do when you get a curve thrown your way? Do you shy away? Do you quit? Do you give up? In life, there will be many curve balls that come our way. We must know that in spite of this turn of event, we must continue to press on. As the word tells us, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". (Phil 3:14).

In your pressing, just know that you may not hit the mark, but you can strive to be better. You can strive to achieve the highest heights. Whether people cheer you on or even are against you, you must stay the course. Do not let anybody tell you or make you feel as though you can’t do it. Do not listen to the naysayers in life. Just because it may not have been done before or it seems impossible, doesn’t mean that you cant achieve it. Stay in the game of life. That what it’s all about.

Even though life throws you a curveball from time to time, keep taking your swings. Just know within yourself that you can do it. Whatever you're striving for in life, just know that "the race isn’t given to the swift nor strong but to the one that endures to the end shall win"! ‎(Ecclesiastes 9:11). Keep striving. Keep swinging. Keep running this race of life! We all have challenges that keep us afraid or unsure and put our abilities and beliefs into question. But just know that God has not brought you this far to leave you now. Trust and know that He won’t leave you nor forsake you. So stay in the game and keep swinging for the fences!
